PowerWrap+

A PowerWrap+ extended warranty, in conjunction with your extended powertrain warranty provides you the most comprehensive coverage at the most affordable price. Designed to "wrap" around the longer powertrain warranties offered by some manufacturers, we are now able to extend the bumper-to-bumper portion of your manufacturer's warranty to match the term of the powertrain warranty, saving you hundreds of dollars.

Select vehicles eligible for PowerWrap+ have powertrain warranties that run longer than the original factory bumper-to-bumper warranty. The manufacturer’s powertrain warranty only covers about ¼ of the vehicle’s parts. These include the engine, transmission and drive train components. PowerWrap+ will cover the remaining ¾. These include such things as air conditioning, electronics, electrical, brakes, ABS and much more. PowerWrap+ will cover ALL parts of your vehicle except a small list of exclusions. Simply stated, if it breaks or wears out, and is not among the short list of exclusions, it is covered. Coverage will run for the same length of time and kilometres as your powertrain warranty. Eligible vehicles must still be covered under their original full factory warranty.

The exclusions are similar to your factory warranty, primarily cosmetic items (seat fabric, carpeting, body molding), consumable items (tires, battery, wiper blades) and routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, belts, hoses). We provide coverage for everything from your air conditioning, ABS brakes, electrical system to the high tech electronics and sensors.

Now with Emissions System Coverage! For an even greater level of protection, Emissions System Coverage is included. With coverage for 30 emissions components and the industry’s best bumper-to-bumper coverage, you’ll be hard pressed to find coverage more comprehensive. While other companies exclude your entire emission system, Warranty Direct offers coverage on 30 expensive emissions components such as oxygen sensor, MAP sensor, EGR system, Intake Manifold, PCV and many others.

Your eligible vehicle must still be covered under its original full factory warranty. The PowerWrap+ plan will run from the in-service date of the vehicle for the full term of the powertrain warranty. In other words, we'll extend your warranty to include PowerWrap+ bumper-to-bumper coverage for the length of your powertrain warranty.

Why not lock into today's lower rates and protect yourself from tomorrow's rising repair rates?

A common misconception is that by waiting to purchase extended coverage, you will get coverage for a longer time. Much like life insurance costs rise as we age, the cost for a car warranty will rise as the vehicle accrues kilometres. You will be offered the lowest rates for newer vehicles with lower kilometres. In other words, you are paying for tomorrow's coverage at today's rates. In addition, our Roadside Assistance benefit may prove to be invaluable during the Manufacturer's Warranty period.

Waiting may also carry other risks. Coverage costs rise as repair rates do. Labour rates have been steadily rising over the past few years. It is not uncommon for a repair facility to charge $125 or more per labour hour. As more repair data becomes available for your vehicle, its costs may also rise. These factors can cause the rates for your vehicle to rise should you elect to purchase coverage later.
